The doctor called stretch mark stria, striae, and if it occurs during pregnancy they called it striae gravidarum.

Puberty – This is one of the main causes of stretch mark in teenagers, as the body begins to grow and experience rapid hormonal change in the body, stretch mark occurs.
Family History – If any of your parents have the stretch mark, there is a high chance of you having a stretch mark.
