Vinegar is preferred because it is more acidic that apple cider vinegar, Dyes are basic in nature and can’t stand acidic solution for a long time, therefore, your water and shampoo method won’t work.  
  
Ingredients

2 tablespoon of baking soda
1 cup of water
2 tablespoon of vinegar

How to Prepare and Use

Mix 2 tablespoon of baking soda and ½ cup of water together.
Wet your hair with water and apply the mixture to your hair.
Comb your hair with hand and massage your hair with your fingers, make sure that the mixture reaches the root of your hair.
Cover your hair with shower cap and allow the mixture to stay in your hair for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it off with water.
Mix vinegar and ½ cup of water and pour it on your hair.

Baking Soda and Antidandruff Shampoo

This formula is effective in getting rid of semi-permanent dye; it is quite effective when the hair is dyed recently. Anti-dandruff shampoo helps to remove excess oil from the scalp this is why it is recommended to use instead of regular shampoo.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of anti-dandruff shampoo

How to Prepare and Use

Mix equal amount of baking soda and anti-dandruff shampoo together.
Wet your hair and apply the mixture to your hair.
Gently massage the mixture into your hair so that it reaches the scalp and the root of your hair.   
Leave it on your hair for 20 minutes and wash it off with warm water.
You can repeat this process as long as you want.

Baking Soda and Lemon Juice

Lemon Juice is acidic in nature which makes it useful when it comes to removing hair color. When combine with baking soda you have a powerful hair color removal. Lemon juice is strongly acidic in nature, therefore, do not prolong it on your hair as it can damage your hair.

2 tablespoon of lemon juice
2 tablespoon of baking soda

Mix equal amount of baking soda and lemon juice in 1:1 ratio together and stir it together until it turns into a smooth paste.

5 to 10 crushed vitamin C
2 tablespoon of baking soda
Water

Crush vitamin C in a bowl until it turns to a powdered form.
Add baking soda and water to the bowl and stir it together until it turns into a smooth paste.
Wet your hair with water and apply the paste to your hair.
Cover your hair with shower cap and leave the paste on your hair for 1 hour.
Wash it off with water and condition your hair. 

Baking Soda and Dishwashing Soap

You can use dishwashing soap to remove dye and color from hair, it works best when removing semi-permanent dye from your hair.

Ingredients

4 to 5 drops of dishwashing soap
1 tablespoon of anti-dandruff shampoo
2 tablespoon of baking soda

How to Prepare and Use

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and stir it together to form a smooth paste.
Apply the paste to your dry hair and cover your hair with a shower cap.
Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Dish soap is very stronger and can damage your hair; therefore its uses should not be more than 2 to 3 times.

Baking Soda and Epsom Salt

You can use baking soda and Epsom salt to remove semi-permanent dye from your hair.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of Epsom salt
1 cup of water

How to Prepare and Use

Add baking soda and Epsom salt in a bowl and mix them together.
Add water to the mixture and stir it together until you get a smooth paste.
Apply the paste on the part of the hair that you want to remove the dye.
Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and wash it off with shampoo and water.
You can repeat this process 3 to 4 times until you get a desirable result.
